Along with the BF engagement team Urban Symbiotics facilitated the recruitment of the Barking and Dagenham Residents Advisory Board. The callout
and recruitment programme was so successful that a large community sounding panel and the core Residents Advisory Board were created. The sounding panel was used to gather insight on topics from a larger number of residents whilst demonstrating that BF recognised their commitment to participate and value their contributions. The larger sounding board (pre recruited community members) also offers a pool for recruiting new members into the RAB if participation dwindles.
The Residents Advisory Board went on to co-create the Barking and Dagenham Residents Charter, capable of guiding future development throughout the
borough.
